Default Pics of my new green Z

Finally flew out to pick up the 98 Z I got off of Ebay: https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-owners-newbie-tech/506935-bought-98-z28-18-5k-mi-8-300-a.html

Overall, I like the car, even though I can tell it wasn't as well taken care of as my 98 SS was with over 2x the miles on it. You can tell people treat a company car like a rental. But for 8k, I can't complain.

The guys in the above thread who said the green would really impress me in person were right on the money. It looks fantastic, really deep with a light metal flake in it. Pictures really do not do it justice. The young bucks at the neighborhood 7-11 drooled all over it.

Bonus score: couldn't tell from the Ebay pics, but the 10 spoke SS rims are chrome. Downside: I can tell why the chrome on 10 spoke SS rims has such a bad rep.

Looks nice, I really like that color. Also what is the problem with the rims? Is the chrome peeling?

Thanks. Yup, the chrome is peeling on some of the inside edges. Coming off in flakes in some spots. I've read people complaining about the chrome on 10 spokes b4, looks like with good reason.

Nice ride dude, I told you you would like the color in person. In person its 100% different than the photos. BGM shines up awesome, but its a BITCH to keep clean...just warning ya. I removed the black covering on the grille and think it looks alot better

good luck with it!

if the chrome peeling is the only problem, you can get the set off ebay that tomzwheels has for like 600 bucks i bet they won't peel

and you can still sell your peeling ones on ebay for like 250, i'm sure someonew ill take them. in the pics they look pristine anyways so it's really hard to tell unless you're ****. nice pickup man.

Yup, you were right, I absolutely have converted to a fan of BGM! It doesn't rain much in El Paso, and I garage my car, so just a quick wipe with a California Car Duster every couple of days will keep it looking good. I could literally go for a couple of months without washing my SS and it still looked good by doing this.

It is. I chose a Magnaflow for my SS after researching all the available systems, this car having it already installed makes the buy just that much better.
