Default Anybody put in the LGM G2 Y-pipe 2.75" in their car?

Hi.....I'm just wondering if anyone on this board has put in the LG Motorsports G2 Y-pipe. It measures 2.75". I have a '99 TA, and I have a few questions: 1) What is the quality of the pipe? 2) How low does the pipe hang in comparision to the stock pipe? Does it hang any better than the SLP y-pipe? 3) How does the connection on the driver's side cat bolt-up? 4) How do you go about welding the passenger-side cat to the pipe? - Do you weld it directly to the cat or does the pipe weld over a section of the factory 2.5" piping?...Sorry for all the questions, but I'm very interested in this product and I'd really like your feedback! Thank you in advance for your response.

I can't answer any welding questions because mine bolted right up. The quality of the piece is excellent. I loved it while I had it. It hung a little lower than stock, but I never scraped it.

I cant help much with the install questions, but I do know somebody that dyno'd before and after with one and he gained quite a bit of power over what he had (grot ypipe I believe). I'll let him post the graph in here if he wants. He got a fair bit of torque back around 3000rpms.

Come on! Somebody with a 1998 or 1999 LS1 F-Body must have installed one on their car. I'd also like to know how it effects the sound quality if you have only changed the cat-back(the rest is stock). Thanks again!...

I too have a 2000.
i could tell a big difference with this & the Borla (wide open).
Mine bolted right up, does not hang too low. Will bang the floor board a little. nothig some 3/8 in. heater hose can't solve! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
No clearance prob's. constructed with T304 SS.
definately a "worth while mod" in my opinion. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
