Default Which Head/Cam combo seems better?

within the next month im going to buy a head/cam combo for my ss. which of these 3 head choices seems like the better deal? and for my cam i dont want anything higher then 228 in duration and i wana keep it under .600 lift. on a preferebly 114 lsa......

1) (local) ported 6.0L heads, new 918 springs, all the retainers/seats etc., decent flowing heads, under 2k miles on them (aprox. $900), no pushrods/rockers. + a 224 or 228 cam

2) TSP PRC LS6 Heads ($1050), 918 springs + a 224 or 228

3) TSP PRC 5.3L Stage 2.5 "R" heads($1250) + a 224 or 228

----------------------------------------------------
keep in mind i want to spend around $1500+/- on heads/cam

1 vote for the 5.3 stage 2.5 heads. You'll have good flow and a bump in the compression.

I saw amazing results with a 224/228 .581/.588 on my LS6 Patriot heads - similar to the PRC LS6 heads - that gets my vote.

Not necessary with the cam range you mentionned.

Defentially not the 6.0's.
Those are better on a 4" bore, and you will have lower compression with these.
I would take them right off the list.
I would however add Dart heads to your list as they aren't much more money and are damn good heads.
