Default Something crazy and stupid I want to do

I know we have all seen front end conversions for 93-97 to 98+ F-Bodies but has anyone ever went from a Camaro to a Firebird or vice versa?

I don't think the rear body sheet metal would line up. The closest you would get is a Firebird front and a Camaro ***. That would be my best estimate from looking at it.

What would look like crap? Firebirds in general?

It's the same frame so I cant see why it wouldnt line up. Hardest part would be for me to get all those parts shipped here.

Just to be clear I'm not trying to just add a firebird front to a Camaro. I want to make a camaro into a 98 t/a.

I thought about that too but it seems it would be cheaper to just sell the camaro and buy the TA. Paintwork alone will more than cover the price difference if you have it done at a good shop.

No, I meant that if you tried to make a hybrid TAmaro it would look horrible.

Be WAY more work than its worth. It'd be easier and cheaper to buy a LS1 TA rolling chassis and swap out all the mechanical stuff. Or better yet, sell yours, and buy a TA.

There were pics posted of the TAmaro in the appereance section. Looked odd. I love the look of the 98 T/A's but I'm way to deep in mods to sell this car. Paint service and labor isnt really the issue. The issue is where to get the body panels etc to do it. If the project in parts and shipping is under $4000 then it's worth it.

You can buy a perfectly good LS1 rolling chassis for $2000 and then just swap out all the guts.
