Rasp Is Overrated
I just wanted to say that I think people make too much deal over rasp. Enough that it could worry you when upgrading.
My LS1 T/A had a dynomouth on it (Loudmouth w/ resonator replaced with a dynomax bullet, basically only a 2-3dB muffler)
I heard a lot of people saying Headers+ORY = RASP!, especially on an LS1. I was worried that it would sound like crap when it was done.
Well I ended up getting Longtubes and ORY anyways then run through the Dynomouth. I did not go with cats because i wanted it LOUD, mean sounding, and less weight/best flow. I got the effect I wanted plus more, I love how it sounds.
It def sounds wicked and loud, get tons of compliments. The tone is amazing.
I just think that people need to stop saying stuff will rasp, and even if it does, is that necessarily a bad thing?
Here's a vid of my setup, you need myspace to view it though, only place i got it hosted so far.

It's all in what you like, it's your car, if you like the rasp, then keep what you got
FWIW I've got a similar setup, and honestly the rasp is getting a little old after having it for 6 months, at first it was like wow the cars nuts must have dropped its got its big car voice.
I don't know if I'm tired enough of it to change the catback yet tho
