Default Which K-member setup?

I would probaly go with mild steel for durability, is there one that is better than the rest?

I have owned a PA-Racing K-Member (on a 3rd gen) and it was decent qaulity. Jen's Z28 has a BMR unit and that is what I am planning for my 2001 Camaro SS. I hear AJE (or what ever) is also good, and UMI is coming out with one of their own.

I'd say BMR. Bolted right up, sway bar fit perfect, and it looks hot in the pics of the underside when the wheels come off the ground!

I run a BMR but Spohn and UMI are releasing their soon from what I have been told.
My BMR unit seemed to be a bit off, had to drill some holes out to get it to fit perfectly.

The swaybar part I could care less about.. as my fron tone will never go back on... but the part about it fitting like crap, that will make me stay way away from that thing.

Either a BMR, or the UMI one once it's released will be my route I think. The umi one is gonna be heavier then the others, but still be a 25 lb savings, and a good amount stronger then the other aftermarket ones I understand, something that can withstand some street use without any major worries... Sounds like a winner to me.

My PA fit fine. No tugging, pulling, prying, grinding, or pounding. Could have been missing a swaybar tab but I never would have noticed as I don't use one.

Yes exactly, our item will be slightly heavier but it is designed to handle street driving and street abuse as well as drag racing. We hope by the end of summer to have this item approved for AutoX/RR as well. We will have some update product pictures up hopefully next week as well as some installation pictures so please keep checking.

Thank you!

you guys gonna put an upper and lower a arm package together with the K member? if so, I may take that route. All the parts are gonna be Cm construction too yes? Reason I ask is I'm hoping by swapping the a arms upper and lower and the K member I can yank about 50 lbs off the front of the car... if all of the parts together will do that, or close to it I may go with your stuff.

Keep me posted.

PA Racing CM one here. Fit was great, everything lined up and provides good amount of adjustability. Been street driving it A LOT since install, no issues. I cant see a beefier K Member itself saving 25lbs, maybe a regular CM one, but any beefier and you got to give up a little of that weight savings.

I'm personally o.k. with a little less weight savings, as long as I can save 40+ from swapping the K and the upper and lower a arms, I'm good to go. With the removal of the a/c and a LW battery, I'm already losing over 40 off the nose as it is, I was hopign to get about 100 off of it without removing the bumper support, a LW radiator overflow, and removing the abs completely with an SJM kit will get me there, as long as swapping the K member and all 4 a arms saves me at least 40 lbs.
