Default what stall for TR224 cam

as ive read the stall must match the cam or visa versa so masters of the f-body's, what stall do you recondmend for a TR 224 cam at 114 lsa. (what stall speed and STR) also what brand would you suggest for something strong and effiecent???
thanks

I run a 3400 2.1 with 3.23 gears which seems to do the trick for a street driven only car. 224/228 112+1.

In sig. If it wasn't for my 1-2 shiftpoint being off 500rpm, car would be about a tenth and mph quicker.

IMO, the perfect match for a 224 cam is the TCI SSF3500.

any times on that car???

so far im thinking around 3400 2.1 but what about the brand??? from what ive read, tci is loose and not as effiecent as a yank or vig.

hmm, my best ET is a 12.02 at 111.8. A couple weeks ago I pulled a 12.04 at 112.25. Still has more left in it.

Get back in line again Mark

Keep in mind that a converter designed for a stock LS1 is going to stall a bit higher when you start putting more power through it.

I like that approach also. Medium sized cam for a broader torque curve and a decent sized converter for very quick ETs at the track.

Not true ... the TCI 3500 is not loose at all compared to comparable offerings from other mfr's, and efficiency is good as well.

PI converters are not known for efficiency. Yank is top dog when it comes to that.

Agreed. They are good converters, but they do lack effiency.

I ran my TR224 cam with PI Vig 3200 stall. However a Yank 3600 or TCI 3500 will do just fine as well.
