Default Procharger broke second time!!!!

Well it happend again, the black bullet peice on the air intake of the procharger got sucked into the unit and screwed it up really bad. Bent the fins and it feels like internals are injured as well!! This same thing happened last year which they fixed free of charge.. Now the unit is no longer under warranty.. Does anyone know how to take these apart or have a diagram of how they go togeather?? Someone please assist me

This is not a common problem. Does the inlet piece on your car have a lot of stress on it? Since you have had this happen before, I would suggest switching over to a 4.00 aluminum elbow in place of the plastic inlet hat. This elbow will take up more room, but it will be less restrictive which will up your boost at the same time. I'd give the tech guys at ProCharger a call to see what it will cost. Bob

My plastic inlet did the exact same thing 2 years ago. ATI paid for it THX.. I then had someone make me up a nice metal unit that's bigger.

What do they use to secure the plastic inlet?? Does it just snap on. I just hope they dont charge me to fix it, the charger is pretty thrashed inside

If it's sucking into the blower,it is telling you your inlet is a major restriction.Open it up with metal pipe or whatever you can do.You are loosing boost.

There is supposed to be a worm clamp on the inlet air hat. Since you are asking how it is secured, it kind of sounds like maybe you didn't have a clamp on it. Bob

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the impeller bullet, not an intake hat as its a carb system.
