Default Active Handlign Warming Up!?

I have a '99 C5 that I just changed the harmonic balancer on (power bond 25% underdrive). I had to pull the steering gear, sway bar and associated elements in order to gain access to balancer. Everything went back together smooth, no leaks, everything is connect back up.

What I'm getting now; once I achieve 18+ mph for over 30 secs my DIC displays "active handling warming up" and will not go away. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have no DTC codes. I am at a loss.

Thanks,
Bigfoot99

All I know is that it's normal for a few seconds, but if it never goes off...? somethings up! Let us know what you find out for future reference.

Well, I've posted on 3 other forums and so far the only thoughts thrown out there are SWPS but I don't believe this is the cause. I disconnected the shaft and let it lay while doing other work. Then put it back together without ever moving it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dude, I noticed this on my 01 the other day when it was hotter than hell outside... Started the car up (engine was still warm) and I notice it saying something was warming up... I thought i was seeing ****.. It went away before I could see what it said completely, but yeah i was wondering what that was too!

P.S. I have a pully also....

I REALY don't believe I turned the wheel during the course of my work. I disconntected the steering wheel and let it lay there until reconnect. No one went inside the car and I did not touch the thing either.

Is it possible that when I did the bleed of the power steering that the SWPS was damaged by me going lock to lock a couple times? Or maybe when I "tossed" the air bridge onto the work bench maybe my IAT got damaged?

I am getting no codes is what is so puzzling.

Mine is doing the same thing right now. I just installed my vararam and it started throwing IAT high voltage codes. Not sure what the cause is, I will investagate more when it cools off outside. AZ FTL!
