Default Which converter 382 stroker

ive got a 382 stroker, stg2 patriots, ls6 intake, 24x/24x .595/.595 cam, level 6 tranny. full weight 99 z28. my shiftpoints will be around6800-7000. will also have 150 wet shot. what would be a good conveter size and str? mainly a street car off the bottle but need it to preform well on the bottle as well.

I have a 382 built, bigger cam/heads than you have....I use PT4000 Yank. Call Yank and ask them for sure! I also spray.

Depends on what you can tolerate on the street and if you want to get max performance. I'm with SDB on the PT 4000, I think that would be best for getting good performance and have ok street manners.

Talk to the guys at Fuddle. I also have a 382 with heads/cam. They told me its all based on your power output. I shift at 6500rpm, and the stroker puts out over 400rwtq starting at 3500rpm. It then stays well above 450rwtg all the way up. They recommended sticking with a smaller convertor, such as a 3200 for the strokers. Never hurts to see what they say.
