Default Post If You Have Mac Mid Lengths And Have Blue Smoke!!!

i have mac mids and am considering different headers after reading all the posts about people with these headers and for some odd reason them causing oil consumption either way still changing the headers or going back to stock manifolds but just wanted to see.

I don't see how headers could cause oil consumption.

Have other people stated this or are you inferring it?

Have you checked your PCV system, installed a catch can or done any tests such as compression or leak down?

I never had oil consuption issues with my macs at all until I went to a different grade oil. Maybe try a slightly heavier oil, I plan on running 15-50 in mine, 5-30 is just too thin.
