Just picked up my new to me 2000 ws6, been a member here for awhile but I've always been an Lt1 guy, the deal I made with the old lady is that the 6 satys stock till it's paid off, my biggest question is, me and the old lady went out and ran the new(ls1) ta against the old(lt1) ta and my lt1 spanked the 6's ass(3-4 cars), the lt1 has lt headers, no cats, flowmaster catback, 3.73's, k&n fipk and a mailorder tune, is something wrong with my 6?

How many miles? If it's more than a few k/mi, then the plugs might already have lost their pucks. Replace them and see if it's better.

Full exhaust, gears and intake on an LT1 should put it into LS1 territory. How much gas in each tank? Weight of each driver? Additional cargo? What transmission? Who drove each one, and how well can they drive? What kind of race was it?

All very important variables that could explain the outcome....

i dont think that lt1 should have ran with the ws6 m6. or even an a4. even with its mods. i doubt its running low 13s or even coming close to trapping 105+

I think that ws6 should have pulled on that lt1 even with longtubes and a few mods. the ls1 one is a whole nother world of a motor when its stock. watch out for a built lt1 tho it will eat you alive there scaryyyyy

An LT1 with full exhaust, gears, intake and tune is certainly capable of running low 13s.

true, I went 13.4 @104 with crappy 273 gears and a small 218/230 114 lsa cam, shorty headers, I think the 373 gears would give him a big advantage

my 6 is a manual the lt1 is an auto, the 6 has 90000 on it I 'm gonna do a good tune up on it and see, it just feels like it's running a little weak to me

I'd say that's your problem.

You need some seat time so you can learn to drive that thing. :judge:

What kind of race was it? From a dig did the auto get the jump and keep it? If so I am not surprised at all...

You just need more seat time. And PLEASE stop calling your car a '6' it makes it sound like a V6 and once you get past knowing what your talking about, it sounds dumb.
