Default EGR system and Backpressure

I know, not an LS1, but same problem may apply.
Just got cats cut off dual-cat LT1, EGR code keeps popping up. Anyway, what can i put in the y-pipe area that creates backpressure, but doesn't restrict flow too much? Help!

Default Re: EGR system and Backpressure

Are you sure that someone didn't plug the EGR back up or cut into one of the wires?

I wouldn't think that backpressure would have anything to do with the EGR system. I ran with no kitties for a while and my EGR never through a code. I think you have other problems.

On LT1 f-bodies, EGR is on the back of intake and is not located anywhere near the y-pipe, and is vacum operated. Have checked the line and looked at everything near the two cats. Only electrical components were the o2sensors. Anyway, do you know of a narrow or glasspack style muffler that has good flow numbers, but creates backpressure?
