Default Quick question?

I've got my heads and cam all ready to install. My T56 recently took a crap on me, so it's on it's way to be rebuilt. While the car is in the garage with no trans, is there any reason why I can't install the heads/cam?

Thanks.

besides having the engine cocked back a little theres no reason why. I might be a little more difficult to get some of the bolts with the engine tilted, but not to the point of making it more of a headache than normal. What heads and cam are you going with?

Should be fine, might as well make use of the time while its apart. If tilt becomes and issue, just put a jack under the back of the motor and tilt it forward. Do it carefully though.

Thanks guys. I've got a F13 and Absolute Speed 5.3 heads along with all the other things that go with it (160 deg stat, ported ls6 oil pump, pulley, gaskets, pushrods, bolts, all that stuff). The reason I'm asking is because I read in the write up that there is a step where you put the trans in gear. That's not going to be a problem? Also, I've already got a jackstand under the motor, so tilt isn't a problem. Thanks.
