What aboout the Stealth Super Intake.
Does anyone have the Stealth Super intake thaat Fast Toys, FT Force. and a few others sell? It advertises a bigger opening and significantly larger filter.
I don't kow how true this is cause a did some investigating based on the information provided to me by these vendors. FT Force told me its the (85-87) corvette filter and Fast Toys said it is the C5 filter. Both statements are the same so I did some filter cross referencing and comparing at K&N.
I found that the 85-87 C5 filter (# 33-2014) is the exact same dimensions (16" x 8" x 1") as the K&N replacement filter for a stock airbox, after market lid, ect. (# 33-2118). Seems like it is a different part number but the same filter
Does anyone have any info or actually have the system to verify my claim. I hope someone can prove me wrong. Thanks

Re: What aboout the Stealth Super Intake.
i got the stealth. the filter is huge! probally almost twice the area of stock. my fitment was good. my finish was good. only problem is the bellows it comes with. alittle cheesy for my liking. look at the pics on the ads and where it goes to the throttle body you see the the bellows squeezing in. hard to explain. ill be coming up with something to replace that part this spring. car defanitly pulls harder. thinking about putting in fast toys ram air. by the way do not buy parts from ft-force!!! they are scammers. i know at least ten people(including myself) who they tryed to rid off! stick with our sponsors if you can or at least a place some else has had good luck with. hope this helps!

Thanks. How is the lid on that? Looks kinda cheesy in the pictures. Does it provide the same gains as Direct Flo or Whisper?

Hi....Take a look over at LS1.com. There are a few posts that describe the Stealth Air Box in great detail. I'm one of the people that dyno tested the lid/air box. There are several quality problems with setup. Though, the main issue is the design/angle and air turbulence that is created. It's a nice looking setup, but the larger air filter doesn't make a difference with the design. Compare the Direct-Flo or the new Texas Performance lid to the Stealth. The air openings are much better. If fact, the Direct-Flo outperformed the Stealth on the dyno...In other words, do not waste your $$$$$$.
