Default Houston area Salvage Yard

Does anyone know of a Houston area salvage yard that has Fbodies? I just need a few random parts of any 93-02 Fbody.

We have an office and freight hub in Houston, can have parts delivered the next day. I've got 16 passenger side power doors in stock for 93-97 Camaros, $350-365 each depending on condition.

Dang. I sold my whole car for less than that. $350 for a door sounds crazy, IMO. You can pick up complete front hit cars or rolling chassis cars CHEAP. Fbodies aren't worth much. However, if you don't have the time or want to spend the effort, it will cost you .

I usually got to LKQ for parts. You can look them up in yahoo yellow pages.

Good luck,
Ryan

90% of my customers are a body shop with an insurance company paying for it. Sure you can get a door cheaper, head over to Pick and Pull with your tool box and go to town. You can probably get a door for $75 if they have any.

As for looking for parts, www.car-part.com is the best site out there. If the yard has a computerized inventory it's probably on there. I have manual doors for $375 but I'm betting there is some room on those, can't tell though unless I'm logged into my network. We delivery to Houston for free every day if you've got a commercial address.

LKQ in Houston has one for $200, Phone: (800) 460-8714 I can't read their damage codes so it might be a hunk of crap. They are normally a good company but they've screwed me the last 3 times I brokered anything from them (pay them with a PO, yet they ship the part COD, meaning the customer sees your price and who they really got the part from).

Interesting. I've gone there about 4-5 times and normally drive around their lot with a tool box. Pull off some parts and have a salesman come out and give me a price with a no-return agreement. However, most of those transactions were for smaller misc interior pieces.

Re: High door prices - Just like everything else, jacking the insurance only sky rockets all of our premiums. If you don't do it the next person does and so goes the cycle.

Sierra: Good luck finding a door.
