RPM launching tip?
Hey guys,
I'm wonder what you M6 people are launching at, with Nitto555R's. I'm not spraying off the line btw
All of my mods were done this winter, so I'm curious how everything will react
On street tires i was spinning like crazy at only 1k RPM. What can I do with my tires?
Clutch and rear are fine for 5krpm

shes more of a street car anyways, I just go to the track whenever they have private rentals. I was hoping to get an estimate out there
any ideas what I can drop the clutch at?

Dont "drop the clutch" at anywhere. you will either bog or spin. I will tell you what i do and how i launch.
44-50psi up front
18-20 in the back
3500-4000 RPM slip the clutch quickly, dont dump it at all. i cut a 1.83 on street tires with mods in sig. before my 9inch and gears i cut a best of 1.91
before gears and 9inch

wel since you dont have the 10 bolt i would leave between 4-5 grand what ever is comfortable with you slipping the clutch out somewhat fast get those 60s down to 1.6s . Now on the tires i have mt drag radials and the grab pretty good for a drag radial i dont have any experience with nittos .

You'r going to spin with those tyres. I had them as my first DR, could not wait to get rid of them. It's hard to say where you should launch at, different track prepes, different air temps, call for a different launch RPM. Either way you will have to slip the clutch out, no point in dumping it, you will simply do yet another burnout.
I would stay in the 3000rpm range, quickly slip out the clutch, hold the rpm untill you feel traction then WOT.
