Default LT-1 Hesitation question?

I have a 95 Formula with 80,xxx miles on it and have a question. The car for some time now has had a hesitation. It is felt the most when its cold and you are accelerating between 1500-2000 rpm's. You can hold your foot in one spot and when it get to those rpm's it just stumbles, sometimes pretty bad and you can watch the tach jump around some. While it stumbles if you give it more throttle it will pick up. It seems to go away when it warms up. I just recently replaced the plugs and wires (ngk tr-55's msd 8.5 mm wires) to see if it would help it any and it sems to be the same as it was before I did the plugs/wires. I have also replaced the fuel filter. The car has not thrown any codes at all. I am debating on changing the opti next to see if it will correct the problem. Also would a lt4 Knock module be something I should think of installing?

Any info is appriciated.
