Default Coolant Temperature sensor

Just wanted to make sure that there is only one of these on a 98 Z...right above the #1 spark plug. Could a faulty CTS cause a misfire once the engine is warm?

Also, where can I get a new sensor from and how much? I went to Auto Zone and the sensor that the individual told me was the correct one did not even have the right wire hook-up on in....that is why I am trying to verify that there is only one sensor....

yes, the 98's only have one temp sensor. its a 3 wire sensor, unlike the 99+ which is 2 wire.

you might have to go to a dealer.

Ryan.
