Re: jet-hot headers
I did mine kinda backwards. I bought the headers then sent them in to get coated. They look awesome right now. Here are a couple of pics:

I just bought the new batch of the Jet-Hot headers last month and put them on last night and they fit perfect, they don't hit the k-member or anything.Seems like all there problems have been resolved <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: jet-hot headers
Yep, those are the Hooker Long tubes. I bought them from another guy that had them on his car for about 6 months, then demodded his car and is trying to sell it. I went for the Sterling coating.
As for the heat resistance, you can touch the headers after the car has warmed up, but I sure wouldn't want to hold my finger on it. However, definetly cooler then the stock manifolds. Wish I had a temp gun to take before and after readings on them.

Re: jet-hot headers
the jet hots kick *** i putt mine on 2 weeks ago i had to grind a notch in my k member on the driver side because when the engine would torque it one of the primarys would knock on the k member other than that they were easy to putt on and there well worth the money.

It knocks on something occasionally under hard acceleration from a stop. Not sure what. I need to get under there and find out. Also, I haven't put on the fastener from the Y-pipe to the frame yet (shows that in the pic). I guess I need to do that to.

Re: jet-hot headers
I put mine on two weeks ago. Every once in a while I get a bang under the car but its only when I REALLY get on it at low speed.
I haven't crawled back under the car yet (will probably do that today) to check things out.
I love the sound, I'm running them through an ORY-pipe and Borla completely dirverted through the muffler. Idles pretty quiet but screams at WOT. The rasp isn't too bad, but does come around between 2-3k at part throttle. Kind of annoying... The biggest problem I had was an 11" gap between the y-pipe and catback!! That caused a major temporary PITA.
