Question about that bolt that holds on the blade of the turbo

Default Question about that bolt that holds on the blade of the turbo

WHY are they all like this

why are they all ground down? is it so you cant remove it? if so why dont they want you removing it ever?

and doesnt that throw off balance? or is that taken into account?

just always bugged me.

Thats not a bolt. The shaft and the turbine wheel are one piece. The nut on the compressor wheel comes off and the turbine wheel and shaft come out.
Its ground for balance.

Garrett's goofy and dumb way of balancing. Much better ways to do it then that....
