Default 10.5 Tire Camaro

Here is a video of my brother n law shaking down his newest ride. I thought it was bad *** for a first pass, but he was disappointed. You can see that it doesn't leave, and you can hear it when the nitrous timer turns off right after the launch. Mid 6.9x's at 210 are on the agenda.

Thats not bad for a first pass on a 10.5 car, that run would be very competitive at any race.

That crazy. A 7.19 shakedown pass? Wow!!!

Can you tell us a little more about the car? Engine, actual tire size. How big of a shot? Number of stages? Do you have any pictures of the car - like engine bay, interior, suspension, etc.?

Good luck this year.

Actually, it's a brand new Vanishing Point Race Cars 2002 Steelbodied Camaro owned by G.M.S (Mobley Motorsports). The tires are 33x10.5w's. The engine is a Gene Fulton 7xx something with 4 stages of nitrous. Usually, they only run 2-3 systems tho. My brother in law's name is Chuck Ulsch, if you Google his name you'll see the old 69' Camaro they ran (still have that too) before this car. He's been very successful qualifying number 2 for the World Street Finals in Orlando, and winning a few big southern races and the Rockingham $10k to win, and beat Billy Glidden to win the U.S Nationals King of the Street in Bradenton. He's also qualified for Pro Mod at the 2004 Presidents Cup IHRA nationals and made it to the semi's running 6.2x's. I'm sure he'll be one to watch this year, as you can see that wasn't a great pass and still knocked off a 7.teen. Thanks guys!

Here are a few pics. The carbon fiber work in the back is unbelievable, and the pictures really don't do it justice.

Isnt that Gil Mobleys new car? Is your brother inlaw partners in the car with him? I talked to Gil earlier in the week about his 69 for sale.

Yep, that's his car. My brother-n-law drives for him. He was the driver for the 69 and now the new car. The 69 is for sale here:

Is your brother in law Richie Sexton? I used to watch their OPS car at 75-80 in MD and then in a few OPS races in South Carolina when I moved there. The new car looks a lot like Terry Robbins' camaro.

Good luck with the new car I'm sure I'm sure it will fly.......kind of hard to beat Fulton power

Mobley's cars seem to be the ones to beat in this neck of the woods but those turbo mustangs seem to be giving him fits when he heads out of town to those big meets. The new car looks great, I can't wait to see it run in person.

No, his name is Chuck Ulsch. Richard drives the Green '69 and Chuck drove the Gold '69.

Thats awesome for a shake down pass.

Now the real question. What is the 10.5 tire outlaw class (or whatever you call it)? I dont really understand it. Is it 10.5 tire width or wheel diamameter? What are the rules?
