i have a 85mm massair off a truck. should i de-screen it?

Default i have a 85mm massair off a truck. should i de-screen it?

i still have the screen,would i gain more if i take it out? will it chang the tuning at all if i do? i have a 01 m6 car.

That is up to you, but make sure you update your maf tables to reflect the change in size from stock and the screen/no screen factor.

I am going to run a screenless 85 maf...definitely not looking to see any gains over a screened one.

i gained 9hp on a stang dyno going from hi-flo massair ends to the 85mm unit. the car is tuned with the screened 85 massair. so...your saying it will change the tune some? is loosing the screen worth it?

Losing your screen may be good for a few hp, but your tune will need to be touched up.
