Well, as you know the 5.0 has been having some issues. we pulled some timing and this is the first run I have had with the new setup against a "worthy" opponent. 350Z 'vert not sure on tranny. We ran from about 65-70ish. He jumped me by 1 car before I downshifted (4th) and then pulled 1/4 car or so. I then began catching up to him and handily passed him and began putting lengths on him. I am not sure when he let off but I soon got in his lane (without being a reckless dick) and I think he was kinda butthurt. Anywho, I would say I pulled that car back and by the look of how I pulled it back put maaybe 2 cars or so on him by top of my 4th (105 or so). SO all in all, had he not jumped I think I could have had him by about 3ish cars. About what I did before my carb swap Happy once again...so far

you probably would have had him by more than 3 cars. When someon gets the jump, especially a full car, you in turn have to accellerate, equal his speed to stop his pull, then out accellerate him to pass. that being said, it takes more than just one length to do it. you might have had him by up to five cars had you not had to dowshift, and you both started at the same time.

Wow. Either way, im feeling better about things now that the timing is set better. It wasnt a bad kill imho. THe SLOWEST!!! 350Z trap was 97mph that I have read about. Most are 99-101, even Auto. So I am pretty sure I am trapping in the low 100's like I should be

A bunch of my friends have 350Zs. With a good driver they are high 13 second cars at 101-102. With an average driver, even higher 13s to low 14s at 98-99.

Normally what I see is 13.7 @101.

So good run. You beat a very capable car.

Ooops...Just noticed it was a vert. Changes the numbers a bit.

'verts trap about 1mph lower or so. Either way, I should be in the low 100's
