Default !Baffles & Sealing airbox worth it?

It would seem that If i remove the rain baffles in my SLP HO hood and seal it to my lid on my car that it would create a pretty good ram effect.

Does anyone have any experience with doing this and how much it helped them at the track?? Or possibly any gains from getting a cai on a lid which would sort of be the same effect.

Just curious if this is worth doing or would it just be trouble?

Anyone have any track data to support it?

I have the same hood and did it to mine. Not sure on gains but it has to be a improvment . There is a straight shot from the hood to the air box. I also have slp flow pack and the extension scoop that goes on the bottom so your getting air from the bottom (scoop) and from the top(hood) . It has to be worth something at the track

I would have to think it would help. Getting more air can't be all that bad. The only thing I can think of is don't get caught driving it in the rain. Water in there can't be good. I don't like driving my car in the rain but the weather forecasters aren't always right so mine still has the baffles in it.
