Default installed MT ET Street Radials, car now bogs...

I took the car out last night after putting a set of MT ET Street Radials on the rear of the car, and now the car actually feels slower. It bogs off the line now until the rpms reach about 3k then it hauls. The tires are not spinning at all now though! they just hook and go. I am pretty sure i need a stall but im afraid to put one in because i know ill break the rearend. Is there anything i can do... or am i pretty much stuck until i put a stall and moser 12 bolt in the car?

stickier tires are harder to turn and take up some power. and i have a 3200 and 3400 in both cars with stock rearends. put a stall converter in. i use nitrous as well. so, you know i beat up on the rears.

LOL. You're complaining about traction? I ran MT ET DR's on a stock trans and rear end with a TCI 3800 with no problems. That was with my old heads/cam setup and easily pulled 1.57-1.60 60-ft's with no problem. Get a converter and be done with it.

I had the same problem after i tried using my ET STREETS/BOGARTS. I was looking for great gains but i actually lost 2 tenths. The problem i found was the ET Streets actually measured almost 2 inches taller than my stock SS wheels/tires. I am putting in 3:73 gears and a torque converter to make up for this and have the ability to use the stickey tires and the added height. My combo is being installed this week. Hopefully it will pick me up .5

I just put on a 4400 stall with ET Streets and I couldn't be happier. They just hook and go. I wouldn't worry to much about the 10 bolt. Some hold, some don't. Some see 10s for a season, mine broke with a STOCK setup. Get a stall-best mod for an A4 you could ever do.

Get the stall and a diff cover with the preload studs. You'll be ok.

You are at the point where you can make changes and see what does not improve your times and does. Higher stall, more power, etc. Go get them.

Plenty of guys around here that run sticky tires on stock rear end with no problems. I was one of them. Made about 75 passes on mine with consistent 1.7's when I had the auto.

Get a stall, and a TA cover w/stud kit and be done with it.
