On my way to vegas on I15 I notice a red Supra coming up behind me. First thing I notice is the huge intercooler. He starts passing me and then letting off on the third time as he is coming up I down shift to fourth and floor it as I go to fifth we are dead even, we then start coming up on traffic still dead even and we have to shut off at about 125+. About a couple miles later after traffic clears and his radar detector calms down, we do it again. So we slow down to about 65 I'm in fourth, I quikly punch it and start walking him and for some reason I let go of the gas for a second thinking hes not on it yet. As soon as I had let go of the gas I heard him shift gears, with the windows up that turbo was loud as hell I quikly got back on it and we stay side by side for a while. After abuot 125+ he starts walking me up to about 155 and goes on put about a car lengh on me . I don't feel all that bad dough this was a badd *** car the guy had gauges in the pillars and looked like he had a couple more gadgets in the dash, no rice here. I have an air lid, flowmaster cat back and pacesetters Lt's with no tune. We came back to traffic again and weren't able to to repeat it so we left as that. What do you guy's recommend as the next uppgrade other than a tune.

Spray it. Why did you start the last run in fourth anyway? Are you an auto or manual. Sounds like a good death for ya though for the small amount of mods you have.

Supra must not have been very modded... You heard a loud *** turbo? You mean the stock turbos? I assume you are talking about a MKIV?

It's an M6 I was doing over 3k rpms. I wanted a third try, this time in third do.

6500rpm? Doesn't the rev limiter kick in at about 5500 rpms?

Never really pay attention to the speed I always try to shift at about 5500rpms

Then it wouldn't have been a race at all. For him to only have a few bolt-ons and win, the Supra couldn't have been modded too much. Maybe intake/exhaust. He said he heard this "Loud *** turbo with the windows down", which makes it seem like some huge turbo car.

Sounds like a decently modded Supra, maybe he was messing with you? Unless it was just "rice" and he had the guages and FMIC for appearence more than performance. Nice work either way

maybe a wetdream???? he said the supdawg had an FMIC, guages, turbo was loud, etc...it sounds like a single turbo supra too me. And with the letting off the gas drama and still running dead even with the supra with only LTs and CAI, smells a lil fishy. 1 car by 155mph, lol - f-body with LTs & CAI.....The supra's wastegate must have been stuck or it was having some tuning/mechanical problems. Something isn't right

A supra with intake, exhaust,dp, bc, and a front mount should easily have walked you not to mention a single. A) he was toying with you or B) stock.

why wouldnt u put it in 2nd at 65. my car goes to like 73/74mph in 2nd gear. i always slam it in 2nd under 70mph. he had to have been stock for u to be in fourth and let off and still stay even with him.
