Which Intercooler Size should I use ?

Default Which Intercooler Size should I use ?

Hi,

Builbing up a single turbo LS1 T70 turbo, forged 346, plan to run up to 12- 14 psi.

Can either squeese a 600x300x75 or a 500x300x100 which shoul I go for /

The bigger the better since we are size limited. I would put the largest horizontal flow IC in for a single turbo install. Horizontal flow will have better thermal eff. Vertical flow will have less pressure drop, but will not remove the heat as well.

The intecooler's we have used in the past, are close to the 600X300X75.

which dimension is the air flowing, you want to have the air enter a larger area, more imortantly then the distance it travels (somewhat)

I also vote 600x300 if at all possible for that much boost. Sounds like we'll be running about the same setup, cept the new shortblock will be a stroker. Hope it runs like a champ man.
