Default Death to 2 WRXs

I was crusing around on friday killing gas enjoying the weather when i see two cars going at it on this long lonely street so I decided to join in for the kicks. When i caught up to them the other car turned and i was left with a silver wrx al to my self. It was some guy that i had tried to race a while back so we went from about 25, we were dead even until about 60 then i started to pull on him by about half a car, we got to trafic so we slowed down about 120. We turned around and did it again from 30 this time and same thing. So him being all wheel drive wanted to go on the lights we took off but i saw him slow down, slowed down and he said there was something wrong he couldent get in 2nd.?!?! Hes was pretty cool so we left it at that. He said it was a regulat wrx with an after market single turbo pushing 14#
So later that day my cousin and I were leaving this party when i see another wrx I think this one was a tsi because i could hear the stock turbo. I caught up to him and we went from about 50 walked him by 3 cars with no problem all the way to 135, then i slowed down. We went at it again from some lights and he instantly pulled on me about a car as we took of, but by 40 i was pulling hard on him, we went to about 120 and it wasent even a race got him by at least 3 cars again. I think he was probably a bad driver because he was around 17-18 and i know this car should of been a bit faster than me having only a lid and full exhaust. But i was still happy to be 2-0 vs these cars

There's definately a difference, both visually and performance-wise between stock WRX's and stock WRX STi's.

Nice kills on both. Stock, the STi is a 103mph trapping car. WRX in mid 90's.

I'm pushing 16psi on the stock turbo on my WRX platform, which should be good for high 13's at about 101mph.

that should be about right. my friend owns a subaru dealership and he always brings them out saying here i fianlyl got one to beat you! but he never does... they arent too much until you replace the stock turbo.. then they are a handful... but even full bolt on they should really get into the 13's

I'm running a "Stage II" setup which involves Stage II ECU map, gutted/aftermarket Downpipe and a catback at the very least.
My Stage II actually retains the stock catback (for stealth reasons) and has an aftermarket Down Pipe and Up Pipe, along with the mapping.

Typically, I wouldn't see a "Stage II" being a threat to a stock LS1 unless the stock LS1 were in the hands of a novice driver or unless the race is limited to the 1/8th mile as anyone in a WRX can cut sub 2.0 60's the street.

I haven't run the car, but I estimated a time in post #2 of this thread based on what usual Stage II cars run. Some are quicker, some are slower.

A stage 2 (turbo-back+tune) STi with a protune will put down about 300 WHP. They are good for mid 12's at 106-110.

To tell them apart, there is of course the giant wig and even larger hood scoop, but many, many STi owners sell those to regular WRX guys (the wing at least). Easiest way I have found is the gold brake caliper or the blue interior since those things are the items that WRX owners don't seem to swap into their cars.

I have never heard of a WRX TSi. I have heard of an STi.

Basicly its a crap shoot. Hard to tell how fast they are untill you run them. Hearing the turbo does not neccesarily mean much. You can hear my crappy old stock turbo and Im barely modded just now.
