Generation III External Engine - A4 - QTEC users I have a ?

Where did you mount your switch? I mounted mine in the ashtray but the wires under the switch are so long that the ashtray doesn't sit flush. The ashtray lid still closes but the ashtray itself doesn't sit all the way down. Anybody have a better place to mount it?

I mounted mine on the plate above the ashtray next to my tcs switch.

I mounted my switch on the dash, under the steering wheel (about 12" to the left). It's easy to get to, and was fairly easy to install.

I'm not your target audience since I own neither an A4 nor a Qtec.

But, for my M6 WS6 with a McCord Power Plate, I bought an OEM convertible top switch and wired the cutout to it. It looks stock.

Im getting the convertible faceplate and wanted to know how to mount my Qtec to the convertible switch? THanks.
