Somethings slipping HELP
my cars tranny seems to be slipping..
you cant notice any problems when just driving normally but at WOT it slips
and BANGS into gear hard..i was racing one time and the people behind me
told me they could hear something BANG real loud at every shift they said
tranny was slipping.. is this my rear end or tranny and what
can i do to fix it that isnt going to cost me a million dollars
and...when driving normally around town it shifts reallly hard from 1st to 2nd sometimes

thats what mine was doing. Car had a lid and catback with a 2.73 and 50K on the car daily driven 250+ miles a day and not being driven all that nice. Shifts got more and more inconsistant and sometimes shiftng hard 1-2 and 2-3 and doing really weird 3/4 up and downshifts. then after a month of the strange trans shifting it threw a couple tranny codes. It was making a clunk noise too on the shifts and a loud clanking sound on startup. I checked the driveline for any play, swaped the DS finally gave up and just took it easy on the car. When I had my FLT level 3 trans and stall installed as Speed Inc they found the flywheel was cracked. Now with the TCI flywheel no more clunk, no more weird clanking sounds either and of course level 3 FLT no more slipping tranny either.
I'm sure there will be recomendations of changing soleniods, changing fluid, tuning, shift kits and other small band aids but IMO just have the tranny built because its just silly build HP, then put a loose stall on it and run all that through a stock trans that can't even handle the power of the cars stock power rating.
