I know there are the main 2, Randy's & Budget......and now I GOTTA do something. My car is running like it is on 7 cylinders (cam surge feel with the stock cam, runs kinda rough, occasional backfire from the area of the passenger cat - the bad one, etc) and my guess is that bad cat from early this year is clogging/clogged up and making life bad for my exhaust. So, which one is the better of the two folks? I am either going to have it completely redone or just have it yanked off and throw a TSP true duals (w/o cats) on there. Anyone? Also, if you chose OTHER, please list what/where and why :D

Oh yes, THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!! :)

Most shops are gonna use crush bends... is that what you want?

TAKE IT TO RANDY'S!

Randy's is the only place I would take my car to for exhaust stuff. :)

Both are good. Randy's is closer to you. Probably cheaper too. Don knows of a place by the Everett Mall that is good, but I'm not sure he will do work on cars without cats.....

Randy's in Marysville put together a custom dual exhaust for my v6 Mustang when I had one.

Great shop, service and prices. I've taken all three of my Mustangs there at least for sub frames and will be going back again shortly for some custom work when the Cobra is back.

Had the y-pipe done on my Camaro at Randy's and the exhaust on my Volvo done at Budget. Both good guys and good service, but Randy's is a little closer to you, and I think it might be a little cheaper.

No, I want mandrel bends like I currently have with my 3" true dual setup.......I just need to have it re-done. :(

See, I have a full on mandrel bent 3" system with 3" dual cats, a 3" x-pipe, 3" (18" long) bullet muflers and full 3" mandrel bent tubing under the entire car to the 3 1/2" tips.......saly it is WAY too low and I only have SLP Eibach springs so it isn't like I am running ground scraping springs or anything.......

Well NOT having cats will only happen if I go with the TSP true duals as there is no place to put them on that setup. :( I currently have dual cats and one died (hence the crappy running of my car currently) I am just looking for a "relatively" inexpensive fix for my problem.......capturing tennis balls under my x-pipe isn't my idea of a good thing. :( I just figured that since I HAVE to do something about the cat, I may a well get the clearance issue taken care of as well. :)

Link? :D Do they use cats or no? And I still gotta un-weld the current setup from the LT's as it is.......see how this is a complicated mess for me? :( The entire system is welded, no clamps or anything, MY FAULT entirely, I wasn't thinking when I gave the guy my order..........so the entire setup is welded from the headers to the tips out the back.

:eek2: $800 :eek2:

Wow, that stuff better add 50 hp for that kinda money. ;)

Seriously though, does that run off a Y-pipe or could it be fashioned to run straight from LTs.......nowhere I have looked has even a picture, let alone a solid description. :(

Good questions since u can't roll a tennis ball under mine and it already goes over the axle......... :(

Ground clearance isn't great, but its actually as good or better than the catted Y-pipe setup I had originally. Lowest point is still right at the header collectors. I used a Dr Gas frame clearance pipe (ovalized 3" tubing) under the driver's side crossmember for some additional clearance and that worked great. My car is lowered about 1.75" on the coilovers and I get at least 3.5-4.0" clearance at any point along the exhaust run.

I imagine that if over the axle is do-able then he could do it. Randy has done a couple of systems for me and has always been more than willing to work with me on stuff.

I can't remember off hand how much he charged me to do the work (its been a while), but I do remember that I was surprised at how low it was. I supplied all the parts minus the mandrel bends so I think it was only around $100-150 for the bends and labor. I'll try and dig up a receipt tonight and confirm.

And I am only lowered about an inch. :( I am going to make my way up to see him either later today or early next week to see what he says..........thanks again for the info.

And I know over the axle is do-able since my car has it....... :) Just a matter of picking it up prior to the axle so I stop collecting tin cans under my car as I drive it.
