Question throttle response

94 z28. whenever im at a stop if i smash the pedal it bogs bad and then launches what could cause this? i have a new opti i thought that would help and it did a lil bit but not as much as i though it should.think maybe its my throttle postition sensor??? i'm stumped help if ya can.

yes definitely sounds like it could be your TPS, and if it isn't that your timing is being retarded by some rogue noises.

Yes, I suppose your knock sensor could be bad, or even your knock module though I rarely hear of those crapping out.

had the same problem try your plugs and wire but don`t rule out your knock sensor i would try the lt-4 knock sensor

Had the same problem on my S-10. It was the plug wires. 110,000 on them unknowingly. Were fine until I changed the head gasket and moved them around a lot. When I put them back on the truck spit and spuddered only on quick accellerations. Put new ones on and it drove fine. Just something to look into though.

an LT4 knock "sensor" does not exist, only an LT4 knock module does. The sensor is located in the block, the module is in the PCM.
