yea my laptop and the lc1 have completely different serial connectors, whered u all get ur adapter

That can't be right. What's the connector on the laptop look like? 9 pin male?

15 female and the lc1 is the 9 or 10

You sure you aren't looking at the monitor output on the laptop.
Some laptops don't come with serial connectors.

If its blue, its for the monitor.

You're probably lookin at the external monitor output. You'll more than likely need a USB to serial adapter. Do some reading and choose carefully, as some have had problems with certain brands. I can tell you personally to stay away from Belkin

all I can suggest is Keyspan......bout $40 most places and work perfectly
