Default Hole in Pcv

ok for the past few weeks my car has had this high pitched hissing noise going on under the hood so today while im trying to change the GOD FORSAKEN last passenger side spark plug i listen and try to find it and low and BEHOLD a hole in the pcv line right beside the throttle body. When i put my finger over the hole the car seems to run smoother? so what kind of affect would this hole have on my car?

I had that little boot connector, that holds the PCV valve, split open on me!

It would suck in unfiltered air.

I bought a new one from GM, and clamped it in a way where it shouldnt split open anymore.

Yes, like Michael02hawk says, a hold in the PCV system sucks unmetered air directly into the intake, bypassing the MAF.
