Pricing Question.... How much is a 1999 t/a worth...????
Here's the situation: I can get my hands on a Black 1999 trans am A4 that is currently running mid 12's with the transplant of a corvette engine, with zo6 camshaft... car is black, has ram air hood, everything works except the a/c.....
Car has bad record, it was hit on the rear quarter panel... currently is fixed and looks very good, can't tell it was in an accident, but the guy is honest and told me about it. Car looks very clean, many mods and bolt ons. Doesn't have the original engine since the original went bad, it now has a LS1 out of a 2000 corvette with camshaft from zo6....
Its a solid running car... but the fact that the a/c doesn't work influences me on the price plus history of it. It runs mid 12's... and it looks very good, if it wasn't for the guy telling me about the accident... I wouldn't have known!!!
So what should be a fair price to pay for such a car..???????

$11,450 is the nada retail price
if the quarter was done and done right that shouldn't detract from the price
you mihgt want to request a copy of the estimate or beofre pix to see
how bad it was.
The engine seems like only a marginal increase over stock because it just has a cam over a stock engine.
A/C coudl be alot of stuff, never recharged after engine swap somthing stupid like thermal expansion valve or could be way worse like and evap.
If i had to buy that car I would say offer him 10500 without resolving a/c issues or have him pay for the a/c diag and offer btw 11000-11250 less the cost to repair a/c
