Default Driveline noise...reason to worry??

So i just recently got a 94 Formula...started hearing a noise from somewhere in the driveline. If I have my foot on the brake when I put the car in drive or reverse, once the tranny shifts in and starts to put a load on the car i hear the noise. It sounds about like the noise the brakes make when you are just creeping along but the car isnt moving at all.

Also...how long should a stock 4L60E take to engage in reverse or drive? Mine definately doesnt hit instantly but i dont know how long of a hesitation is normal.
