Default DCR Calulations

Has anybody done the DCR on a Torquer V2 ground on a 112? My 98 heads really suck and all this talk about finding the best compression has got me wanting some new heads. I only put down 351RHP on the dyno and have been told the heads are killing me. I know a couple of friends who have used aftermarket for sale but I wouldn't want to buy without knowing what CR to shoot for.

Open up the spreadsheet in the sticky and punch in your numbers. You should shoot for 8.5-8.8 depending on what octane gas you can get. FWIW when I ran the numbers for a potential setup w/ .040 gaskets it indicated a 62cc head would be needed to make ~8.5:1.

Dont even bother Tommy your DCR sucks badly. Is like 7.5 off the top of my head.
You could defentially use some compression.

Default Here's my calcs for T2 using ported 5.7L heads

Got this info from guru on this forum for me setup.
Fly cutting is needed to get the compression needed, the chamber size will vary depending on the type of head you're using.

60 cc chambers
.040 gasket
232/234, .595/.598 112+4 LSA
for a 11.05:1 SCR and 8.53 DCR
7.40 p-rods
A big stall (4200+)

This would get me moving pretty well.

ok well we need to come up with something thats not going to involve flycutting pistons. id like to run a set of 5.3's but im not sure above ptv clearance or maybe even the dart 205's. the dart have a larger cumbustion chamber which is going to lower the dcr. i am in desperate need of torque as im sure most are with this cam and stock heads.
