Unhappy 464 rwhp...113mph..oil consumption...

Here is the deal,
I just purchased this car 2000 ws6, ported andpolished ls6 heads, 233 239 cam, ls6 intake, longtube headers, milled heads 11.2compression, running and tuned on MAP sensor. stock tb.

This thing should move a lot better than it did last weekend at the track.

THe track day was hot about 85 and very humid...i realize that could account for loss.
Also i didnt know but i was running 92 octane and on a hot/humid day im sure the computer was retarding timing.
Also I am burning about a quart every 500 miles...i checked the plugs and they are good.
I am thinking something in the valvetrain...valve seals...rocker threads??
Anybody have any idea what would be robbing my power and sucking oiL?

THanks

Heat and humidity will kill you at the track... I assume you have a dyno sheet and receipts for all work done to the car...That thing, even with humidity, should mph better than that, IF you can believe the dyno numbers..Are you sure whats supoosed to be in there is in there? Good luck...

yea its def. got a big cam and has the casting numbers for the heads...i am getting all the sheets tommorow...he was a nice believable guy.

Rocker studs with poor sealant you are talking about?

By the way thas a gorgeous car...love the pewter or silver whatever u call it.
I just found out that my clutch is shot...that could have been slipping too at the track correct??
Soon as i left the track it slipped majorly that would hurt the power or isnt that realistic?

no sealant on the rocker studs, i think thats the problem. The exhaust rocker studs do not penetrate into the head but it looks like the intake stud threads do. Lots of oil on the threads, this happened to my iroc a few years back
