Thinking about getting the Sprial Pro plug wires for my 99, but have heard they can cause hella misfire codes? Is this true and do you think the MSD wires are better?

I had Taylors on my 69 SS and they started to melt from the heat, a waste of 75 bucks. I do have the MSD hot wires on my 2000 SS with SLP LT's and a few of the boots sit on the header and I havent had one problem with them, I've had them for 2 years. I say go with the MSD!

I have Taylor 409 10.4mm plug wires. I got them because a friend of mine was selling them brand new. I've heard bad things about every plug wire out there...I don't know if everything they say is true or not. What I DO know is that I don't have any misfire codes being set. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I've had them on for several months.

My Taylor wires have been on since mid 98. No problems at all. Snap on each plug good.

I use them with MAC headers, no misfires or melting. I also checked them for resistance, which were less than half of stock wires with 40K miles on them. A good wire for the money.
