Prelim. ported L92 intake #s
Finally got the GM 2.16 valve in the mail today. Did not modify the gm valve, valve job, or do more than blend the throat into the bowl.

Exhaust valve hasnt shown up yet, and I want to test it with the GM factory angle rather than a generic 1.60. Dont care to share what work was done, and we still have a way to go before the profile is done. This thing sucked the SF600 dry at .600 and we had to rerun .500-.700 and convert from 20 and 25". This head is going to need a very strong intake and massive TB. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of cars running these in the next few months. Oh yeah, flowed on a 4.040 bore, no BS.

who did you have do the porting?
I just got my heads today and was thinking of having them worked over, and it sounds like whoever you have doing yours is doing it right.
GM has a single plane intake comming out, im thinking of getting that as I dont see any other option that will keep up with the heads. The GM composite intake wont keep up I dont think.
PM if necessary.

brandon do you expect the castings to cost more in the future? so would it be wise to going ahead and buy a set and keep them till an intake becomes available. what are the flow numbers untouched? and who has the best prices on the bare

Breathtaking flow numbers Brandon. They will make some serious power with the right intake. Well done.

so u acheived these #'s with just blending the valve bowls? 90% valve diameter?
i assume no other wall, or short turn work,or guide work,
how bout chamber work?
no bs
what do u think of this combo i have in mind?
well i alredy started building the bottom end 6.0 block decked .010-.015
4.06 bore x 4.1 eagle crank
6.125 rods
1.061 ch pistons -.010 out da hole
thinking of 245-250's/650+ lift cam with 8.7-9:1 DCR 112-113 LSA
for some n20 small 150-200 plate shot
it will be carb. so i need the single plane coming out
with an HP type 850 cfm carb
i am building this engine based on the L92's, was hoping to see 350+cfm at .600 lift with minimal porting, seems like i did right
it seems like they will pick up even more with the right valve job and back cut
dare i mention 2.18 valves and further porting
thanks for the info provided, hope i didnt say too much

As I said in the orginal post, the only changes I made to the seat was blending, ie. no valve job. The port itself did see some changes, the numbers yielded above did not come from blending the valve job alone.
