Default Rev limiter

Hey guys I ran my car at the track the other night. I drive a 98 camaro ls1, automatic. When the car shifted from 2nd to 3rd it bounced of the rev limiter a couple times before it shifted. It hasn't done it again since then. My question is do I need to be concerned that it did any damage to my engine.
I know 5 speed are known for bending push rods but mines an automatic. Ive had the transmissions line pressure tuned with hp tuners and the shift points have been moved up a little but nothing extreme. I have never messed with the rev limiter.

The rev limiter is there to protect your engine, so your car is probably fine

Manual transmissions bend pushrods because people shift 1-2-1 missing 3rd mechanically forcing the RPM's too high.

On your HP tuners; it's possible that when you raised the shift points, you put them too close to the rev limiter.

It's 6200 on an M6 I doubt an Auto is any different. 6200 is a joke even for a stock motor.

My car used to do the same exact thing, whats happening is the motors makin alot of power (it was probably a good day) and the 2-3 shift mechanically in our 460LE's takes longer than the 1-2 shift and so instead of being able to shift between when the cpu tells it to, and the rev limiter, it doesnt shift fast enough and bangs the limiter. This usually only happens on a really good day as mine did it on the track in -1000DA but never on the road.

Same thing happened to me. I made a thread. This explain what's happening and how to fix it.

Dragkid was right as well....
