Street Racing & Kill Stories - Raced a Trans-Am with NEONS

LOL so i am coming home the other night and i see a white trans-am with blue underglow neons and start to die laughing anyways we get to the light and he pulls up next to me soo i put it in neutral to rev it and the fing light turns green and he takes off soo i catch up to him hoping to catch another light but they are just green soo he starts to honk and were goin about 40 and being an auto i had no chance (he was an M6) but i went anyway and i lost...and again same thing and i lost...anyways there was only one more light before the highway and it was green soo i knew i wouldnt be able to race him from a dig soo he starts to honk again and i throw it into 2nd we take off i own him by about 3 cars (40-110ish) i was NOT going to let a riced out T/A beat me.... :)

for a second i though you meant he was a v6, and i was wondering why you would have no chance, then i realized m6.

haha no i am an A4 he was an M6 he kept trying to race me from about 40 and im just dead at 40so he kept beating me....soo the last run i threw it into 2nd gear and OWNED him

Thats a firehawk isn't it? Wheels look a lil small, but has the spoiler and looks like the badging too.

Yeah the spoiler has me thinking Firehawk.

Though I probably wouldnt put neon on an fbody, I don't think that just having neon makes your car rice....

the previous owner of my car had neons. i never saw them but when installing my headers i saw the capacitor and was thinking to my self what the hell is this and why are there cut wires. i unbolted it and read the warning lables and it said to disconect batt before servicing florescent lights.

neons are bad enough but when they have that 'bar' look and its not a evenly spread out glow.. yuck. like his, they just look like a wide skinny bar.

Some of them take the car to shows. :judge: And i've seen a few blown ls1s with neon and strobes.

Anyone remember that thread awhile back where this guy likely had neons just to make people think his car was slow?

I find it funny and distressing that ricing out your car is actually the best way to be a sleeper. People are suspicious of the clean stock looking cars nowadays.

with your mods and bein an auto, you say you owned him by THREE car lengths!? That would be more on par with a cammed ls1 vs a Stock ls1. hmmm.... perception might be a bit off. That or he just let off early.

well thats kinda why i made this post...the guy obviously SUCKED at driving cause even from a 40 roll when i didnt down shift and i started wayyy late i still was half a car and gained when he shifted when i dropped it into 2nd and took off i had atleast 2 cars on him....

I had some green neons to match my green car on my 94 v6..... Of course i bought the car with them on, Only good thing it did was keep peoples attention on the pretty lights instead of realizing how slow i was, lol. That car actually just got a flame paint job, i'll have to post pics when im done buffing out the paint.

Oh, and yes, the neons have looong since been disconnected from the car and neons arent coming anywhere near my Z
