Man that was a bad wreck. Its hard to believe that someone can walk away from that.

Not really. The drivers are strapped in tight and theres all kinds of roll cages and saftey equipment in the car for the driver. As you seen the drivers compartment stayed very much intact there. A driver would rather flip through the air cause the car is still moving and slowing down. Sure he'll get brusied a bit, but nothing like a sudden stop. This crash show how safe modern racing cars are.

Thanks for posting this I wanted people to see it on SPEEDnews last night but they where too busy to check it out. BTW this isn't Le Mans, this BMW wouldn't pass the rules to race in Le Mans since Grand Am has different rules.
