I would just stick with the ls6 intake. While you will see some gains, i dont feel it will be enough to justify the price.

until you decide to go with heads and/or bigger cubes, the LS6 intake and a ported tb are the way to go

So if you had a H/C car, would it be worth it to go to the fast 90/90. How much do you think I would gain? I have the LS6/ported TB right now as well. Thanks guys,

With a bigger cam and a good set of heads the 90/90 set up can be worth 20rwhp or more. It would kill the low end on a small cam like the 224. Plus you would probably not gain anything over an ls6 or fast 78.

what about on a set of ported 62cc 243's and a 224/228? Any good then?

A friend of mine saw good gains from the 90/90 with a 228 ( Tony mamo cam I think)cam and a set of AFR heads (milled).

So a better intake and freerer flowing TB will kill my low end? Doesnt make any sense. So the consensis(sp?) is taht this would be a good idea for my car? (H/C 231/237 cam) Thanks guys,

it would hurt the low end because the intake of this size is geared to outflow everything in the mid and upper rpm's

I would stick with LS6/TB unless I was looking to make huge top end power or 430+rwhp H/C. Strokers are what really make these things shine.

Question Port or not to port the intake?

I have a stroker and was wondering if its necessary to port the intake at all to get the best bang for the buck with this 90/90 setup. Got the 90/90intake and TB in the garage now. Been told the "out of the box" intake anit worth much at all....true?

Is porting worth it? I want MORE low end torque.

Porting tends to open up the runners and slightly raise the powerband (less low end) however on a big cube motor you could probably use the extra air. Im sure the cubes will overshadow any loss of torque from the intake.
