Default LS6 intake gains on stock heads/cam motor??

I have a '00 LS1 and I am wondering if it's worth it to put a LS6 intake on it? What are the normal gains for people that go with the LS6 intake and still have their stock heads/cam? I do have LT's, but that's it as far as 'bigger' mods go.

Thanks
Paul

not much. Its not worth the $ if your not going to break into the engine. Youll prob get around 7-10 rwhp if that.
If you are thinking of throwing in a cam soon, then id buy it <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Did it to my 2000 SS. For only $400 and it's an EASY job, yes I would do it again in a heartbeat! I do have a CAM with stage 2 heads on the way so I knew it would be a plus overall. Let her breath! HP gain was 10-15. Responce had noticible improvement. Common sence says, if GM makes this intake stock now, I better follow suit.

I would probably do a ported TB first or at the same time too.

The ported TB was worth 3rwhp &amp; 5rwtq, did the intake with the rest of the package so I don't know from first hand experience what it was worth.

I pulled 337 rwh on an A4 3200 Vig. with the converter unlocked.
Only mods:
LS6 intake
Direct flo lid
Mac headers
X-pipe
Ported TB
Pulley

Not to bad with just those mods I don't think. So I would say it does help a car with no heads or cam.I gained 2 tenths and a 1.5 mph with it.

I gained 17 RWHP with the addition of an LS6 Intake and an ASP underdrive pulley (314 RWHP before / 331 RWHP after with stock heads and stock cam). As stated above, if you are planning on doing a cam, then it is worthwhile for you to get the LS6 Intake too.
