Default Tranny mod

Just wanted to get some local input on this.

First a little background. The tranny in my FRC is really notchy. WAY WAY more than my formula is even with the Pro 5.0. So I've been doing some reading, and aparently you can put a washer under ther detent bolt and it is supposed to make it a lot less notchy (sometimes called the "antivenom mod"). Sounds like a good mod to me.

Has anyone done this locally? Whats your experience with this?

More for Ellis or other tranny guru's, what exactly does this do as far as the transmission goes. It sounds like to me that the detent is there for a more "positive" feel....aka creates the notchyness. Also, does the F-body T-56 have this too? I've never heard of this for the F-body's and wonder if its something to do with the shifter location.

I'll probably get to doing this, this weekend. I'll let you all know how it goes. Oh, I'm also going to modify my stock shifter for a shorter throw
