Default Question about Headers, Tuning, Etc...

I'm planning on buying a set of Pacesetter Headers and ORY in the next few days. I was also planning on removing the AIR and the EGR Systems. If i do this it will require some tuning to make sure the SES light doesn't come on correct?

Now if i do this tunning would getting a HPPIII be worthless?

You dont need a tune to turn off the AIR and EGR systems(get rid of the SES), you can do that in a hand help tuner such as the Hp tuner..

You think i should get a tune anyway after the headers or not worth it?

HP tuners isn't handheld...if you are going to get a tune get it done right and use a tuning suite. Handhelds are not worth their money when compared to the minimal gains attained.

Save your money on the tuner. The HPP3 will NOT remove the codes. You can read and clear them (same thing that autozone does for free), but they will pop right back up again.

You need an LS1edit/HPTuners tune to do this.

He is right about the Hypertech........Predator and Vinci are worth it if you have no laptop, or computer know-how, and want to do the tuning for you. The Vinci can set the parameters so the light will not go off for your rear 02's. Not sure about air, egr.
