Default Got new gears and I'm not sure how to launch it JUST right...

Went from the stocker's to 4.10's So far I'm really pleased with them, BUT I cant figure out how to launch the dang thing! It's I know I havent made it to the track with the new gears yet but I was looking for some pointer's/advice. I'm launching the car (keep in mind im on the street) in 1st (heard with 4.10's you might try second but it boggs to much) in first gear at around 2,300 to 2,500 Rpm. The first 20-30 feet are fine but after that the car starts to spinn like crazy and hits the rev limiter. I try to feather the gas but I feel like I'm loosing quite a bit of time. Adivce

The car is an 01 SOM Firehawk M6. I ran a 13.3 at 106 with a 2.2 60' last year with just an airlid, and an SLP loudmouth cat-back.

Since then I've added Pace Setter LT's, no cats, TSP True duals, and 4.10's. Should I be able to net some high 12's if I can get the launch better? Thanks for all the advice

The track is alot different than the street. Be careful with the stock 10 bolt with 4.10 gears. When my car was a M6 we blew the rearend up the 1st time at the track when we went to 4.10 gear. A 12 bolt or 9 inch is just what the doctor ordered. Good luck.
