Arrow Need a 9 sec turbo recipe

looking for a 9 sec capable street/strip setup. obviously would need a built block.346,370,or 408? have afr 205's , should i sell them for larger combustion heads or use a big dished piston? have fast 90/90 setup currently will this be sufficient or change it up? also have fast fuel rails to get more fuel to the motor. cam will need to be changed from what i have now. probably will be looking for a custom grind. what kind of intercooler should i be looking for?dual fuel pumps, but what brand.i am thinking that 96lb injectors would do the trick.would want someone to build me some headers for my turbo. what kind of wastegate?making this kind of power would i need a system like big stuff 3 ? btw its a 98 ws6.what does everyone think about a built 4l80e tranny, or a built th400?any and all input appreciated. also if there are things that i am missing , give me some heads up. thanks

Well, for 9 seconds without pushing it to the limits and still being streetable, I would go 408 for sure. The 205's are going to pump the comp up pretty high, I see a lot of guys running a set of ported LQ9's and doing very well. The Fast intake isn't really going to help you with a turbo. As for the fuel pump, not sure with that big of a setup, you're going be pumping out 800rwhp+. Get the biggest FMIC you can get in there, and replace the front end with one that is open to get fresh air into the intercooler. 96lb injectors should be just fine, but you'll be running something like a t88 front mount, so I would also recommend methanol injection, cheap insurance and you'll get a little more power out of it with higher boost. I have a turbosmart progate 48mm, it works like a champ, I'm a huge turbosmart fan, so I would suggest the racegate. I have never used the 4l80E in a car, but apparently it's internals are nearly identical to the Th400 with an extra gear. I have used many TH400's, and know they old up if they're built for the job. Run a transbrake and a nice stall, some taller gears, sticky tires, and you'll be golden. =)

You should get with Stenod or W2W, they are near Detroit.

Seriously though any of our sponsors would be a good place to start looking

Look up my setup, I have a low 9 second motor on pumpgas and is 100% a streetable driver. It's also also a 347" motor, stock pcm. You can build those pretty cheap!

Chris....Mike Brown's car runs mid 8's at 3700 pounds with a W2W 6.0L engine with stock crank, a 91.5mm turbo using truck manifolds, some meth injection, and drag radials on a stock style suspension.

Anything can be done really, we just need to figure out what combo you will be happy with and also fits your budget.
